Hello.

My name is Leandro Mello, and I am a 2D animator living in Canada.

I worked for animated projects in Brazil, the Netherlands and here in Canada. Here, my first project was a feature-length movie, the second one was a series that is a hit on Netflix, and the third one just premiered on Netflix on September, 2019.

If you’re reading this page, it’s probably for one of these two reasons:

You have been in one of my workshops series.
You have talent, but probably had no time, money or opportunity to get formal education in animation.

Or both.

Either way, you want to get into the industry as an animator, but maybe you have no portfolio and no idea of how to get in.

That’s why you’re here. I want to increase your chances of getting hired.

So I created:

How does it work?

We’ll work together for a few months, one-on-one, to develop a one-minute portfolio with scenes that reflect your unique skills and personality.

We’ll train a few basic skills, plan our scenes, and immediately put those skills to good use.

You’ll receive a few theme ideas to explore. Traditional, cut-out, effects, creatures etc. You’ll learn a lot as you go.

And, by the time your portfolio is ready, you’ll be ready for the industry as well.

Plus, if your portfolio looks really outstanding, I’ll refer you to studios in town!

Having worked for studios in three different countries, I know what they look for in your presentation material. And you are going to deliver just that.

That will depend on several factors, including how much training in animation you already have, how much you need to learn, how long we’ll be training for, etc.
